Northern lights tour on horseback We pick you up in Kiruna and drive to our farm west of the town in direction of the mountains. In the winter evening you go for a riding tour through many hundred year old forest nestled against the mountain range. We hope you can see the beautiful northern lights and some moose. When you come back you will be served dinner in the goahti (sami hut) consisting our local specialities like game and fish. Your sami guide tells you about the sami culture while sitting round the fire. Afterwards we drive you back to Kiruna. Moose safari on horseback We pick you up in Kiruna and drive to our farm west of the town. We drive through the moose winter land and the moose use to bee seen close to the road. We prepare the Icelandic horses and go for a tour in the forest where the moose use to be during the day. When we are on horseback we come closer to the animals than usual. When we come back from the riding we have lunch with moose meat. We drive you back to Kiruna. Horses, dogs, moose and northern lights (2 days) For you who like animals and nature this is a perfect mini vacation. Riding under the northern lights and dogsledging in daylight with staying overnight on our horse farm with the animals in the forest around the corner. We pick you up in Kiruna the first day in the afternoon and go by car to our horse farm westwards. Together we prepare the horses for riding and in the winter evening we go for a shorter riding tour through many hundred year old forest nestled against the mountain range. We hope we can see the beautiful northern lights and probably some moose. When you come back you will be served dinner consisting our local specialities like game or fish. The guide tells you about the sami culture while sitting round the fire in the goahti (sami hut). After a night on our farm you have breakfast and will be picked up for a dogsledging tour where you can drive your own sledge. You have lunch during the tour. Winter weekend on horseback (3 days) Spend a weekend with us and our Icelandic horses. It is exiting to ride in the snow, both in the forest on smaller tracks and on ice on the river. And think of seeing moose, reindeer and other animals in their natural surroundings. Arriving to us in the afternoon the first day you start with a riding tour in the forest and spend the evening in the goahti (Sami hut) round the fire while the guide tells you about the Sami culture. Hopefully we see the beautiful northern lights. The next day you go for riding tour and in the afternoon a riding lesson. The third day you go for a riding tour and end these days by visiting the famous Icehotel in the afternoon. You stay overnight in double rooms in a house at our farm with shared kitchen and bathroom and eat of the local specialities like game and fish. Our farm is located near the Kalix river with a view of the mountains and the moose and reindeer round the corner. With reservation of changes because of the weather. Winter week on horseback (7 days) Spend an exciting winter week with us and our Icelandic horses, and make a lot of other activities. It is exiting to ride in the snow, both in the forest on smaller tracks, on snowy roads and on ice. Except of riding tours we give you riding classes, visit the famous Icehotel, go ice fishing with snow mobile and go dog sledging during this week. You learn about the Sami culture and have Sami guides with you these days, very familiar with the area and culture. You will feel peace and quiet, and be much out in the nature. Hopefully you will see northern lights, reindeer, moose and other animals these days. What you will experience when you visit us is both genuine and exiting. Here you see an example of the week-long program: After transfer to our farm the first day you start with a riding class in the afternoon to be familiar with the horses. We serve you a 2-course dinner after the ride. Outside the window you will probably see moose and maybe some northern lights. The second day you go dog sledging with huskies and have lunch during the tour. You have then a riding tour in the dark and spend the evening in the goahti (Sami hut) round the fire eating dinner. The next day you go on a riding tour, maybe riding on ice and after lunch we go by car to the famous Icehotel. You have dinner by the Icehotel and come back to the farm in the evening. The forth day we go for a riding tour in the forest and in the afternoon you have the chance to learn how to throw lasso which we use for catching the reindeer. You have also a riding class especial about riding Icelandic horses. The fifth day we go ice fishing on a tarn up in the mountains and you go there by snowmobile. You learn how to drive snowmobile this day and have outdoor lunch. You can also have a riding class in the evening. The next day you ride on the oval track, in the forest and in the afternoon we visit the city Kiruna. The last day we bring you back to Kiruna. During this week you stay overnight in a house on our small horse farm with double rooms, shared kitchen and bathroom. Our farm is beautiful located close to the Kalix river west of Kiruna. Winter adventure (4 days) Welcome to us for a great winter adventure in the north of Sweden with the best of activities. You get to go dog sledging, ride Icelandic horse, learn about the Sami culture and see reindeer, go by snow mobile and ice fish. You have Sami guides with you these days, very familiar with the area and culture. During these days we also visit the famous Icehotel. You will feel peace and quiet, and be much out in the nature. Hopefully we will see northern lights, reindeer, moose and other animals. What you will experience when you visit us is both genuine and exiting. After arrival transfer to our horse farm in the small village Puoltsa. You then have to dress for outdoor activities in winter time. We start with a riding lesson in the afternoon to learn about riding, what we do is depending on how much you have been riding before. You will then be served a two-course dinner and overnight at our farm. At the farm and around it we have different tame and wild animals like horse, goat, dog, reindeer, moose, hare, cat, fox etc and them you will see. The next day you go for dog sledging, with a sledge pulled by sled dogs and you will be served lunch during the tour. In the evening you have a northern lights tour with riding in the forest and hopefully we see both northern lights, reindeer and moose. The dinner this evening we eat in a Sami “hut” (goahti) sitting around the fire. The third day we go ice fishing on a tarn up in the mountains and you go there by snowmobile. You learn how to drive snowmobile this day and are guided by a Sami guide who knows the nature and animals. It is very exciting to ice fish when you look through the hole in the ice and see the fish. In the evening you can learn to throw lasso. After a day outdoors you will sleep well. The last day we visit the famous Icehotel and after lunch transfer to the airport/railway station.
